Society Finding Aids

Most of the York Sunbury Historical Society's archival collection has been transferred to the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick (PANB)where it can be cared for and stored in ideal conditions.

The PANB has recently provided the Society with the most up-to-date finding aids for its collection though this is not a complete listing; the MC 300 – York Sunbury Historical Society Archival Collection,
P4-2 York Sunbury Historical Society Photographs and
P132 York Sunbury Historical Society II Collection. The York Sunbury Historical Society is grateful for all the work that the PANB has dedicated to the collection.

McAlpine’s York and Carleton Counties Directory for 1884-85: A transcription project of the McAlpine’s York and Carleton Counties Directory for 1884-85 containing Alphabetical Directory and Business Directory of Fredericton and Woodstock and Towns, Villages and Settlements Throughout York and Carleton Counties. Scans and transcriptions are posted on the York Sunbury Museum blog.

	MC-300 York-Sunbury Historical Society Collection After many months of meticulous arrangement, description, and indexing, this finding aid is presented to the research public with the hope that the writing of the New Brunswick history will be tangibly aided. The production of the finding aid was assisted in its latter stages by Diana Moore and Patricia Tozer, members of the staff of the York-Sunbury Records Indexing Project. Employment and Immigration Canada granted funds for this project to the York-Sunbury Historical Society in general and in particular the Executive headed by Dr. Elizabeth McGahan, for its continuing support of the aims and efforts of the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick. 	Officers' Quarters Preliminary Article Index Sorted by author, the article index is an on-going project. The York Sunbury Historical Society has been publishing research projects and history based articles since 1986. These have never compiled or indexed despite the wonderful resource of information that they hold. The abstracts that accompany the articles is part of the project and are being completed by volunteers! The YSHS really appreciates their time and efforts that they have given to this project.
